Light & Fast Open Space Catamaran
A dismountable catamaran for fast coastal cruising
Scheduled for February 2024 launching in La Rochelle, France, the Ventio length overall is 10.59 m and its beam 6.21 m.
The composite mast beam and the aft beam are bolted directly on the hull sides to ship the dismounted yacht overseas inside two 40 foot containers, or to truck it on a 3.50 m wide trailer.
A light weight fast catamaran
Designed by Nicolas Purnu, the composite Ventio weights only 2.9 tons for an upwind sail area of 50 to 88 m2 as several mast and sail options are available.
The standard yacht is equipped with twin fins for a 89 cm draft. Two rotating dagger boards may be installed as an option under the beds, for a draft between 50 cm and 2,10 m.
Each Ventio is equipped with two sails, a 5 m carbon bowsprit, three Harken winches, and a 9.9 HP outboard engine. A 44 m2 code 0, 90m2 spinnaker, and electrical engines are also available as options,
A combination of sprayhoods is available to fully enclose the complete deck platform. The aft trampoline may be replaced free of charge with an aft deck saloon.
Each hull features a nice aft cabin with 1.88 m headroom and a 140 x 200 cm double bed which may convert as a sofa during the day. The bow cabins are accessible by both the forward decks and the main cabins.
The Ventio is available for order in four main configurations;
- The Ventio OpenSpace (165 K€) as described above.
- The Ventio Grand Tourisme (210 K€) adds a composite coachroof, a large galley on the deck, an electric windlass, and one bath.
- The Ventio Electric (230 K€) is a Ventio Grand Tourisme equipped with two 6 kW e-pods, lithium batteries, and 1100 W solar panels instead of an outboard engine.
- The Ventio Spirit (255 K€) comes with a 14 meter carbon rotating mast, two rotating daggerboards, one bath, and an extensive set of NKE electronics for a 3.1 tons light weight.
